KARLOFF
BEAUTY & UGLINESS
Following our typographic animation on Futura, graphic designer Peter Bilak asked us to create an animated film for one of his innovations. A new font called Karloff. The name is a tribute to actor Boris Karloff who played Frankenstein’s monster in the classic film. This typographic animation expresses the duality of the font, since Karloff exists in two versions. The first represents beauty and balance. The second represents ugliness.
We went on to work with Peter Bilak again, on the Works that Work video. Visit the official Karloff page on Typotheque!
